Die Richard Löwenthal Lectures sind eine öffentliche Vortrags-Reihe, die einmal im Jahr bekannte Forscher_innen zu Osteuropa und den post-sowjetischen Raum ans Osteuropa-Institut einlädt. Richard Löwenthal (1908-1991) war Politikwissenschaftler und von 1961-1974 Professor an der Freien Universität Berlin. Der Sozialist, engagiert im Widerstand gegen den NS, forschte nach seiner Rückkehr aus dem Exil über Totalitarismus, Nationalsozialismus sowie zu politischen Entwicklungen Osteuropas.
