Does the globalized world fall apart and split into separate competing geoeconomic and geopolitical blocks, akin to the new Cold War? The department of politics is currently working on the start of a new SCRIPTS project.

The project analyzes the construction of new ‘scripts’ presented by authoritarian states as an alternative to the ‘liberal script’. It aims to study how the war triggered and influenced the state-sponsored narratives of block building in two major authoritarian states – Russia and China – and how these narratives resonate in their population.
