Program Structure /Study Regulations
The structure and course of the programme are set out in the 2023 study and examination regulations. These contain a sample study plan, describe module content and provide an overview of the respective examination requirements, credit points (LP) and workload for each module. They also specify the requirements for the Master's thesis.
The 2018 study and examination regulations, which were amended and supplemented in 2021, are thus no longer valid.
Expired study regulations from 2018
Starting in the summer semester, we will no longer offer courses for the SPO 2018 (unless you have a maximum of one language course left to complete). If you have already completed all your exams and will be writing and completing your master's thesis in the summer semester of 2026, you do not need to switch.
For all others, the following applies: In order to complete their studies, all students from the 2018 study and examination regulations must apply to switch to the 2023 SPO. If you still have to take seminars or several language courses, please note that from the summer semester 2026 onwards, no credits can be recognized under the 2018 study and examination regulations.
The following steps are necessary to switch to the 2023 SPO:
-
Fill out the “Anrechnungsbescheinigung” form in the appropriate columns.
-
Go to the module coordinator, who will make and confirm the assignment. For this, you will need the “Antrag auf Umschreibung MA OES in 2023”. The module coordinators will assign the credits to the profile area, i.e., the entire credit transfer for the complete profile area will be recorded on one credit transfer certificate, which will be signed by the module coordinator.
-
Then send both forms to the OEI examination board!
