The documentary "The Frontier" (2022, producer: Egor Isaev) tells the story of a group of activists trying to free Anastasiia, a young woman from Charkiv, from Russian captivity. Anastasiia left Ukraine after the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, while her mother-in-law stayed behind in occupied Charkiv Oblast. After several failed attempts at evacuating her, Anastasiia decides to go to the occupied territories herself. Passing through Russian Belgorod Oblast in order to enter occupied Charkiv Oblast, Anastasiia is abducted by agents of Russian secret services. Assisted by human rights activists, among them staff of "Rus' sidjaščaja", Anastasiia is able to leave the occupied territories together with her mother-in-law.
