Postkarten aus dem Osten / Postcards from the East
Kate Seabrook is an Australian photographer who moved to Berlin just before the Christmas of 2011 and somehow never left. Cities, culture and people are the main focus of her photographic adventures.
In the exhibition POSTKARTEN AUS DEM OSTEN / POSTCARDS FROM THE EAST, Kate presents photographs from her journeys through cities that were behind the former iron curtain. The selected photos represent an outsider's fond and curious observations of architecture, culture and everyday life. These works illustrate not only her affection for Eastern Europe, but also offer visual signposts to the points where history and progress collide.
