Experts from German, Russian and Ukrainian institutions involved in analyzing and forming civil society will discuss the current situation and future perspectives of the civil societies of the three countries. How to overcome the abrupt turn for the worse in the relations among Germany, Russia and Ukraine? How can youth participation influence international relations? Can youth projects be regarded as a player with the potential to change the political circumstances or are they rather influenced and restricted by the political circumstances? In which cases can challenges be turned into potential, in which cases they can´t?

Guests:

  • Svitlana Gootsal (National Institute for Strategic Studies, Ukraine)
  • Alexandra Yatsyk (University of Kazan, Russia)
  • Nora Korte (DRA e.V., Berlin)
  • Moderator: Fabian Burkhardt (University of Bremen)

The panel discussion takes place in the framework of the IV Trilateral Youth Forum “Germany, Russia, Ukraine: A Common Future?” organized by DRJUG e.V.
