Responsibilities:

Participation in research and teaching in the field of politics with a focus on Russian domestic and foreign policy, political economy and quantitative methods (incl. independent teaching), as well as integration into the teaching organisation of the Institute for East European Studies; support of the professorship in the supervision of students and visiting scholars; participation in research projects of the professorship; participation in academic self-administration. The activity serves for one's own academic qualification (doctorate). 

Recruitment requirements:

- Completed academic studies (Master's, Magister, Diplom) in political science. University degree (Master's, Magister, Diplom) in political science, as well as other related subjects (economics; sociology; communication sciences; statistics; etc.).

Desirable:

- excellent knowledge of English
- good knowledge of Russian
- very good knowledge of quantitative methods of empirical social science research: experience with one or more statistical programming languages (Stata, R, Python or similar)
- Experience in the field of science and teaching;
- Experience with university structures; organisational experience;
- Ability to work independently in a conceptual manner and innovative spirit;
