Talk with Uljana Bychenkova and Anna Scherbyna on the graphic action "Fact and Affect" will take place on Monday, 27.06 between 10.00 - 12.00 in Garystraße 55, room 101.

In their project Uljana Bychenkova and Anna Scherbyna examine the forms of articulation of subjective coping with the war experience. The focus is on self-testimonies in social networks, letters and interviews with those who stayed and those who fled. The research work with these testimonies proceeds experimentally at the interface of art and science. In this way, an experiential knowledge of the war can be tapped that remains alien to numbers-based analysis.

Ulyana Bychenkova (Kyiv) is a cultural scientist, curator and designer. Her work focuses on feminist movements in art. In the fall of 2020, she held a fellowship at the Leipzig University of Book Arts and Design.

Anna Scherbyna (Kyiv) is a cultural scientist, curator, and illustrator. In recent years, she has worked on the transformation of the landscape on the front lines in the Donbass.
