OEI Webangebot

Movies were a central way of presentation in the Soviet Union. In the media library of the OEI, students and interested parties can find information and streams on a large number of Russian and Soviet films. Access to the collection is available upon request.

The OEI newsletter is published once per semester. It provides a detailed review of the most important developments, topics and events that took place at the OEI in the past six months. At the same time a short look into the future and first impressions for the coming semester are given.

Osteuropa in Berlin

Due to its large number of research and cultural institutions, the Berlin-Brandenburg region is regarded as a centre of Eastern European competence in Germany. On the page "Eastern Europe in Berlin" you can find information on events, exhibitions or film screenings with an Eastern European focus on an ongoing basis.

OEI Code of Conduct

Due to the current pandemic situation, teaching at the Institute for Eastern European Studies in the summer semester 2021 can unfortunately still take place exclusively in online format. In order to provide you with guidance on how to deal with digital teaching formats, the OEI has developed a Code of Conduct.
