Mykhailo Korda (MD, PhD, DSc) is a Rector of Ternopil National Medical University in Ukraine, where he also holds professorship at the Medical Biochemistry Department. Previously he was a chair of Medical Biochemistry Department and Dean of the International Students Faculty. In 2003-2007 he was a Visiting Professor at the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department of the Ohio University (USA).

Research interests: biochemistry of free radicals; hepatotoxicology; the role of nitric oxide in the pathology of the cardiovascular system; endothelial mechanisms of dysfunction in obesity, hypertension and atherosclerosis; nanotoxicology, application of nanomaterials in medicine and pharmacy; epidemiology, pathogenesis, treatment of borreliosis; endothelial dysfunction and thrombosis in COVID.

Professional activities: Editor-in-Chief of the Scientific Journals “Medical and Clinical Chemistry” (Ukraine) and “International Journal of Medicine and Medical Research” (Ukraine), Editorial Board Member in the Scientific Journals “Social, Health, and Communication Studies Journal” (Canada), “Health Problems of Civilization” (Poland), “Polski Merkuriusz Lekarski” (Poland). Chairman of the specialized scientific council Д 58.601.01. Member of the Presidium of the Ukrainian Biochemical Society and chairman of the Ternopil Regional Branch of the Ukrainian Biochemical Society. Member of the Medical Section of the State Prizes Committee of Ukraine in Science and Technology. Board member of the Eurasian Academic Alliance for Global Health.

He has authored over 450 scientific publications, co-authored 4 textbooks, 8 manuals, 11 monographs and received 40 patents.
