Alexandra Antoniouk studied at Kyiv National University. T.G. Shevchenko 1985-1990. She defended her PhD and then completed her habilitation at the Institute of Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, where she has been working since 1993 as a junior researcher, then a researcher and a senior researcher. In the period of 2016 р. по 2020 she was first Deputy Director for Science and then the Acting Director at the Institute of Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. She currently works as a leading researcher at the Institute of Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and part-time Deputy Director for Development and Innovation of Kyiv Academic University.

In 1996-1997 she became a fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. She is working in the field of Mathematics and has more than 40 research articles and one monograph. In the framework of social activities she heads the Humboldt Club of Ukraine and also manages the Innovation Center of Kyiv Academic University. One of the important projects she is currently working on is the creation of a modern science and technology park "Academ.City" on the basis of the institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine located in Akademgorodok (Kyiv) on the model of a similar park Adlershof (Berlin).
