Asaf Yakir is a PhD student at the University of Haifa, Israel. He holds a bachelor´s degree in Jewish history and a master´s degree in political science.

My work deals with the economic policy of right-wing populist in power, asking whether those governments share a common thread of economic policy and governance. I am spending a semester working on the Hungarian case of the Orban governments, and comparing it to the Israeli case of the Netanyhau economic policies.
