Ivona received her B.A in 1998 from the Music Academy in Skopje, specializing in ethnomusicology. She is currently enrolled as a post-graduate student at the Institute for Ethnology and Anthropology in Skopje. Since 2005 Ivona has been working as an external advisory of the Minsitery for Culture, in the section for protection of tangible cultural heritage. Her central topic of investigation for our project will be the process of institutionalization of folk music and dance in Macedonia during the formation of Yugoslav identity.
