Research Initiative Urban Times

The interdisciplinary research initiative Urban Times addresses Globalizing City Regions (GCRs) as new core units of global politics, economics and culture. GCRs have become sites where flows of different sorts – natural resources, energy, capital, services, goods, communication and people – intersect and materialize. GCRs have thus begun to take on a growing political, economic, social, ecological, and cultural significance.
